Frequently Asked Questions
HOURS OF OPERATION
We are open 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
TUITION
Our monthly tuition rates vary according to age and full or part time status. Please contact us for the most up to date tuition prices.
ENROLLMENT
We offer full time and part time (2 or 3 days a week) care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. Children in our Pre-Kindergarten program must be enrolled full time.
WELLNESS POLICY
If your child shows symptoms of illness such as vomiting, diarrhea, or an elevated fever of 100 degrees, he or she will be isolated and you will be notified. Your child must remain symptom and fever free (without the use of Tylenol, Motrin, or any other fever reducers) for 24 hours prior to returning to school.
MEDICATION POLICY
If your child should require a dosage of prescription or non-prescription medication during the day, parents needs to obtain and complete a medication authorization form which is available in the office. Timonium Children’s Center staff are only allowed to dispense prescription medication or over the counter medication with written authorization from the parent AND the licensed health practitioner. A new Medication Authorization Form is required at the beginning of each 12 month period, for each individual medication, and anytime the dosage changes.
ALLERGIES
We are NOT a peanut free school. If your child has any food allergies, please submit written documentation from your child’s physician. We will make necessary accommodations in the classroom to ensure the safety of your child. In addition, food allergy signs will be posted in the emergency binder and food preparation areas.
POSITIVE BEHAVIOR GUIDELINES
We believe discipline shall include positive guidance, modeling, and redirection to another more appropriate activity, as well as setting clear cut limits that foster the child’s ability to become self disciplined. Behavior expectations shall be clear and understandable to the child, shall be consistent, and be explained to the child before and at the time of any disciplinary action. The goal is to teach children to be responsible for their actions which can be obtained by children having a clear understanding of right from wrong.
